March

March has been full of hands-on learning and simple joys in our schoolhouse. We wrapped up our unit on reptiles, fish, and amphibians and have begun exploring weather, which we’ll continue through April as we observe changing skies, clouds, and the water cycle together.

In history, we’ve been following America’s story, learning about Benjamin Franklin and colonial life, while also taking advantage of warmer afternoons to get seeds in the ground.

The students loved building a bird feeder and watching the birds visit right outside our window.

Our days have been filled with creativity. Painting spring watercolors, crafting fish, and making egg carton scavenger hunts. Along with music, where we discovered how folk songs tell stories, and had a visit from Ms Katrina.

We even had a special visit from Full of Grace Rabbitry and some very cuddly rabbits, which brought lots of smiles!
