Old beams, New life

Yesterday our hillside was a hive of activity as the crane, lifts, and workers from Hickory Circle rebuilt the original beams from the 1850 one-room schoolhouse. Our family watched as each piece and section was put into place.

The skill and precision of the crew working together was really inspiring to watch.

Today, the crew from A & R Builders are here framing in the addition on the back of the original schoolhouse which will house the restrooms. They are also framing for doors and windows to be installed.

Our little building has sprouted up before our eyes after all of these months of planning. It’s incredible and humbling to watch and to reflect on the hours of behind the scene work, the generosity of so many corporate and individual donors, and how many prayers have been answered along the way.

It is going to be beautiful place for a group of students and their families to connect. Keep watching, more great news is coming!
