May brought a beautiful close to the school year at Juneberry Hill as we focused on the final Fruit of the Spirit: self-control in both our words and actions, guided by Proverbs 16:32.

With warmer days upon us, much of our time was spent outdoors tending gardens, finishing schoolhouse projects, and soaking in the joy of learning together.

We wrapped up science studies with hands-on lessons about light and energy, explored the beginnings of a new nation in history, and continued weaving fabric into the classroom loom they helped create this spring.
Art and music classes celebrated creativity through painting, nature-inspired salt dough ornaments, and student performances shared with classmates.

We were also grateful for special visitors this month. Sarah and Chevelle read Miss Rumphius and encouraged students to make the world a more beautiful place while planting bean seeds to take home.

Cheryl and Dallas from Kalmbach Feeds taught both classes all about chickens and the process of chicks hatching. It was a joyful and meaningful way to end another wonderful year of learning, creativity, and community at Juneberry Hill.
